Robert Standing

Robert Standing is a seasoned underwriting and turf management professional with extensive experience in the insurance and sports turf industries. Currently serving as a Senior Underwriting Analyst at Chubb since January 2019, Robert has held positions including Executive Underwriter/Team Lead and Senior Consolidation Underwriter. Prior experience includes roles at The Hartford, where Robert worked as a Senior Small Commercial Underwriter and Commercial Lines Underwriter. Robert's background in turf management includes roles as Field Maintenance Service Manager at Carolina Green Corp., where expertise in construction of natural and synthetic turf systems was developed, and as Assistant Sports Turf and Athletic Grounds Manager at Virginia Tech, handling maintenance tasks for a Division 1 university. Robert began a career in turf management with a position as a Student Worker in the Virginia Tech Athletic Department and spent a summer as a member of the Grounds Crew for the Boston Red Sox. Robert holds a B.S. in Crop and Soil Environmental Sciences with a focus on Turf Grass Management from Virginia Tech.
