Chuetsu Pulp & Paper Co., Ltd. is a company mainly engaged in the manufacture and sale of paper and pulp. The Company operates in three business segments. The Paper and Pulp Manufacturing segment manufactures and sells various paper products, such as newsprint paper, printing paper, packing paper, special paper, paperboards, processed products and pulp, among others. The Paper Processed Products Manufacturing segment manufactures and sells paper bag, paper tube, corrugated fiber board, notebook and other paper products. The Power Generation segment sells electricity. The Others segment is engaged in business activities including wood chip manufacturing, forestation and greenery, paper cutting/selection/wrapping, machinery designing, installation and repairing, paper pulp and raw materials delivery, insurance agency, industrial waste treatment, real estate leasing and management, civil engineering work and tennis club operation. As of March 31, 2014, the Company had 17 subsidiaries.
