Greg Mitchell

Greg Mitchell has extensive experience in the power generation and maintenance sectors, currently serving as a Senior Maintenance Operator at Chugach Electric Association since October 2020, following the transition from Anchorage Municipal Light & Power. Previously, Greg operated combined cycle gas turbine packages and performed control room duties as a Journeyman Operator/Mechanic. Prior roles include LFG Plant Operator at Doyon Utilities, where Greg contributed to Alaska’s first landfill gas to energy project, and a Maintenance Helper at Chugach Electric during a summer outage. Early in Greg’s career, experience as a Valve Technician with ASRC Energy Services provided exposure to operations in the North Slope. Military service as a Gas Turbine Mechanic in the US Navy included maintaining gas turbines on hovercraft and a naval vessel. Greg holds foundational education in basic engineering and mechanical systems, with specific training in gas turbine mechanics.
