I-Hon Chen

I-Hon Chen is a medicinal chemist at Chugai Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. since May 2015. Prior experience includes serving as a postdoctoral fellow at UC Irvine, where expertise was developed in copper(II)-catalyzed site-selective carbohydrate functionalization, and at The University of Toronto, focusing on transition metal-catalyzed C-H activation. Additionally, I-Hon Chen worked as a research chemist at the Institute of Microbial Chemistry, investigating Tamiflu derivatives as drug leads. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pharmaceutics and Drug Design from The University of Tokyo and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemistry from Chung Yuan Christian University.
