Ken Esparza

Ken Esparza has an extensive work experience in various roles related to IT and software development. Ken started their career in 1986 as a U.S. Marine, serving in different positions until 1991. Ken then joined Advanced Information Management, Inc in 1996 and held roles such as Software Engineer, Product Technical Lead, Manager of Core Application Development, and Director of Application Development. In 2004, Ken joined Authoria as the Engineering Operations Manager and later became the Professional Services Manager. From 2005 to 2020, they worked as a Software Consultant and Freelance Contractor for Esparza Consulting Group, where they designed and developed custom applications. In 2008, Ken joined Chumash Casino Resort and held various positions, including Technology Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, Relationship Manager, Solutions Manager, and Director of IT Operations. Currently, they are serving as the Director of Applications and Data Services at Chumash Enterprises, where they are responsible for overseeing application and data services and leading the product ownership function for the NetSuite ERP system.

Ken Esparza holds an A.S. in Computer Information Systems from Santa Barbara City College, which was completed in 1996. Ken also earned a Certificate in Project Management from UC Santa Barbara Extension in 2005. Additionally, Ken obtained an A.A. in Liberal Arts from Santa Barbara City College in 1996. Ken has obtained several certifications, including the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Scrum Alliance in 2022, the Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner in 2021, and the Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) in 2021. Ken also holds the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from PEOPLECERT Group, obtained in 2012.
