Karen Darnell

Director Of Finance at Church Of The City

Karen Darnell has an extensive work experience history. Karen started their career in 1991 as a Commander of the Weather Flight at England Air Force Base and Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. Karen then served as an Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies at South Dakota State University from 1995 to 1998. After that, they joined the United States Air Force as an Executive Officer and Aerial Events Branch Chief. In 2001, they became the Commander of a Combat Weather Team at the 48th Fighter Wing. From 2003 to 2004, they worked as the Protocol Chief at Third Air Force. Karen then held various roles at Air Force Space Command from 2006 to 2010, including Commander of Headquarters Squadron and Director of Protocol. From 2010 to 2012, they were a Senior Meteorology and Oceanography Officer at United States Africa Command. Karen then served at United States European Command as the Secretary of the Joint Staff from 2012 to 2013. Afterwards, they worked as the State Inspector General at Tennessee National Guard from 2013 to 2015. Currently, they are the Director of Finance at Church of the City, a role they have held since 2017.

Karen Darnell's education history begins in 1985 when they enrolled at South Dakota State University. Karen pursued a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and completed their studies in 1989. Following this, from 1993 to 1995, they attended Central Michigan University and attained a Master's degree in Administration. Later, in the years 2004 to 2006, Karen pursued further education at the Naval Postgraduate School, where they earned a Master's degree in Meteorology. Lastly, in 2012, they attended JPME II, although no degree or field of study is specified for this educational experience.
