Steve Mills

Director of Operations at Church of the Redeemer

Steve Mills has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Steve started their career as an Assistant Resident Officer in Charge of Construction at Travis Air Force Base in 1985. From there, they served as a Training Officer, Company Commander, and Detail Officer in Charge at the U.S. Naval Mobile Construction Battalion THREE. In 1992, they became the Deputy Resident Officer in Charge of Construction at Naval Training Center Great Lakes. Steve then managed real property maintenance activities as the Director of Facilities at Naval Surface Reserve Force. In 1997, they became the Assistant Public Works Officer at U.S. Naval Station Rota. Steve continued to rise through the ranks, becoming Resident Officer in Charge of Construction at Naval Surface Warfare Center in 2000. Steve then managed a staff of professionals as the Facility Manager at National Naval Medical Center. In 2004, they became the Assistant General Manager at Kenosha Water Utility, where they supervised a large team and executed a multi-million-dollar budget. Finally, they joined Church of the Redeemer in 2011 as the Director of Operations, where they led a team of over 1,000 staff and volunteers and oversaw the church's risk management program.

Steve Mills obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from the University of Utah, where they attended from 1981 to 1984. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) at Purdue University, from 1990 to 1992.
