Richard Parsons is an Operating Partner with extensive management and operating experience in the media, entertainment and finance sectors. Mr. Parsons served as Chairman of Time Warner, Inc. from May 2003 to January 2009 and CEO from May 2002 to December 2007. During his tenure, Mr. Parsons played a key role in the company’s turnaround after a challenging merger between Time Warner and AOL, developing the company into one of the largest media and entertainment conglomerates. Following his 16-year career at TimeWarner, Mr. Parsons was named Chairman of Citibank and was instrumental in steering the company through the financial crisis until 2012. His career in financial services extends over 18 years, including his tenure as Chairman and CEO of Dime Bank where he led the company through the savings-and-loan crisis. He is a senior advisor at Providence Equity Partners and most recently served as the interim CEO of the Los Angeles Clippers. Mr. Parsons previously served on a panel of economic advisors who counseled President Obama and is a Board member of many large corporations including The Estée Lauder Companies, The Madison Square Garden Company, and Lazard Ltd. Mr. Parsons received a JD from Union University’s Albany Law School and received his undergraduate education at the University of Hawaii.
