Claire Simms

Claire Simms has a diverse work experience in the field of corporate social responsibility and fundraising. Claire currently holds the position of Sr. Director of Corporate Social Responsibility at Churchill Downs Incorporated since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at LG&E and KU Energy LLC from 2017 to 2023, where they held the roles of Manager of Corporate Responsibility and Community Affairs, as well as Corporate Responsibility Manager. Claire also worked at Fund for the Arts from 2013 to 2017, serving as Director of Donor Stewardship. Before that, they were the Director of Major Gifts at Bellarmine University in 2013. Claire started their career at Fund for the Arts in 2007 and held various roles, including Director of Individual Giving and Grants, and Portfolio Manager. Claire also worked at Louisville Orchestra as a Patron Services Coordinator in 2005.

Claire Simms completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from Bellarmine University in 2013. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English and Music from the same institution in 2005.
