Dave Kurtz

Dave Kurtz has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Dave most recently served as the Vice President of IT Operations at Churchill Downs Incorporated, starting in June 2022. Prior to that, Dave was the Sr. Director of Engineering at TwinSpires from January 2020 to June 2022. Dave also held various positions at Churchill Downs, Inc., including Sr. Director of Cloud Operations from August 2016 to January 2020 and Director of Cloud Operations from September 2016 to June 2018. Before joining Churchill Downs, Inc., Dave worked at Digital Solutions of Kentucky as a System Administrator from January 2006 to December 2010. Dave also served as a System Administrator and Developer at Metal Sales Manufacturing from July 2009 to October 2010. Earlier in their career, Dave held the role of Sr. IT Coordinator at McKendree University from June 2003 to June 2009 and Systems Analyst at HCA Healthcare from January 2002 to June 2003. Dave began their career at Humana, where they served as a Budget Analyst from January 2001 to January 2002 and Accounts Payable IS Specialist from January 1999 to January 2001.

Dave Kurtz completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems from McKendree University from 1999 to 2002. Dave then pursued a Master's degree in Applied Information Technology from Bellarmine University from 2009 to 2010.
