Alessandra Vitale

Alessandra Vitale, Ph.D., is a microbiologist with extensive experience in both research and medical analysis. Currently serving at Clinique de La Source since July 2022, Alessandra Vitale has previously worked as a microbiologist in training at Laboratoire d'analyses médicales Kessler SA and as a postdoctoral researcher at the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne, where a high throughput method was developed to identify virulence-reducing compounds for Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Alessandra Vitale holds a Doctorate in Microbiology from the University of Zurich, where research involved genome-wide mutant profiling to assess fitness determinants in human pathogens. Additionally, Alessandra Vitale has contributed as a teaching assistant during the doctoral program and has earned a Master of Science in Microbiology and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Biology from the same institution.
