Tarek Shahin

Tarek Shahin has extensive experience in the investment management industry. Tarek currently holds the role of CIO, CI Asset Management at CI Capital Holding since September 2022. Prior to this, they were the CIO - AM at Misr Capital from October 2020 to September 2022. Tarek also worked as a Senior Investment Manager at Allianz from March 2019 to October 2020. Before that, they held the position of Managing Director, Global Emerging Market Equities at Manulife Investment Management from July 2015 to January 2019. Tarek began their career as a Portfolio Manager and Investment Analyst at Investec Asset Management from October 2008 to June 2015. Tarek worked as a Senior Equity Analyst at Beltone Financial from January 2007 to October 2008, and as an Investment Analyst at Concord International Investments, L.P from October 2004 to December 2006.

Tarek Shahin holds an MBA in Business Administration and Management, General from Heriot-Watt University, which they obtained from 2005 to 2007. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from The American University in Cairo, completing it from 1999 to 2004. In addition to their degrees, Tarek also obtained certifications including the Fintech Programme from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and the IMC certification from the Financial Conduct Authority.
