Michael Gitundu

Michael Gitundu is an accomplished IT security professional with extensive experience in managing and enhancing cybersecurity frameworks across various organizations. Currently serving as the Head of IT Security at CIB Kenya Limited since September 2023, Michael has developed and implemented a comprehensive security program that significantly improved the company's security posture and ensured compliance with regulatory standards. Prior to this role, Michael was the Lead Cyber Security Architect at M-PESA Africa, where a suite of advanced cybersecurity tools was designed and managed. Additional experience includes serving as Assistant Manager of Information and Cyber Security at I&M Bank Ltd and as a Network Specialist at KEMRI - Wellcome Trust, both roles contributing to improved security policies and protocols. Earlier in Michael's career, significant contributions were made as a Network Infrastructure Administrator and IT Support Technician at Royal Media Services Limited. Michael holds a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
