Basil Thom

Basil Thom is an accomplished professional specializing in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) governance and risk analytics, currently serving as Senior Director of AML Governance at CIBC since July 2018. Previously, Basil held the position of Chief AML Officer for Canada at Wells Fargo from 2017 to July 2018 and was the Vice President of Global AML at Scotiabank from 2005 to 2016, where responsibilities included AML policy, due diligence, and leading multi-functional surveillance teams across multiple regions.
