Tara Sherwood

Tara Sherwood, MBA, PEng, is a seasoned technology leader currently serving as Senior Director of Technology Planning and Design at CIBC since 2023, where the focus includes establishing a technology vision to enhance business objectives across various domains. Prior to CIBC, Tara spent 18 years at Bell in progressively responsible roles, ultimately as Vice President of Corporate Technology Services, where leadership spanned a vast support operation for over 55,000 employees and management of substantial capital programs. Key contributions at Bell also included setting long-term IT strategy for Bell Media and overseeing significant SAP implementations. Tara's earlier career included positions at General Motors as a Production Supervisor and Celestica as a Manufacturing Engineer. Educational qualifications include an MBA from DeGroote School of Business, an executive education program at Harvard Business School, and a Bachelor of Engineering Science from Western University.
