In 2007 to 2009, they obtained a Diploma of Leadership and Management from the Australian Institute of Management. In 2001 to 2003, Richard attended blackdot, where they studied Consultative Selling and Challenger Sales. Richard received a BA degree in History from Macquarie University from 1995 to 1999. Prior to that, they pursued a Diploma in Automotive Electrical Engineering from TAFE NSW from 1990 to 1994. Richard completed their Higher School Certificate at Hunters Hill High in 1984 to 1989. In 2021, they also obtained a Diploma of Education from Lancaster University, specializing in Business Administration and Management. Additionally, Richard has certifications in MBA Essentials from LSE in 2020 and holds a Certificate IV in Security and Risk Management AS/NZ ISO31000:2009.
