Yang Zhao

Yang Zhao is a seasoned economist with extensive experience in China's macroeconomy and financial markets. Currently serving as Managing Director at 中金公司 since August 2021, Yang previously held the position of Chief China Economist at Nomura from February 2015 to March 2018 and was a China Economist at CICC from February 2011 to February 2015. Prior experience includes a managerial role at The Hong Kong Monetary Authority from February 2009 to January 2011 and assistant professorships at both Xiamen University and Fudan University. Yang holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh and has earned both a Master of Arts and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Fudan University.
