Alexandra Merlino has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Alexandra served as the Chief Financial Officer at CicLAvia, Inc. from February 2016, where they were responsible for tax, accounting, compliance, HR/Admin, and legal functions. Prior to that, they were the Executive Director of Partnership for Responsible Business starting from January 2011. Alexandra also founded Teres Kids LLC, a children's clothing company focused on comfort for children with tactile sensitivities, and successfully launched a purpose brand with a high online reorder rate. In 2008, they created and managed the Railyard Artisans Market at the Santa Fe Farmers Market, generating a new revenue stream for the organization. Alexandra's work experience also includes founding and leading Authentics Home, a global enterprise specializing in hand-crafted leather goods with extensive media coverage.

Alexandra Merlino's education history begins in 1992 when they enrolled at Hunter College. Alexandra pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and successfully completed their studies in 1997, graduating cum laude. Following a gap in their education, Alexandra returned to academia in 2003 and attended the Rhode Island School of Design. Although they did not obtain a degree, they completed non-degree coursework in design and metals from 2003 to 2006. Alexandra's most recent educational endeavor is their enrollment in the altMBA program, which they will complete in 2022.
