Julia West possesses extensive experience in the field of deaf education, currently serving as a Curriculum Developer for the SPICE for Life program at the Central Institute for the Deaf since 1993. In this role, Julia focuses on teaching various subjects, including Language, Reading, Science, Social Studies, Math, and Auditory Training, while also specializing in speech, writing, and self-advocacy skills. From 2005 to 2013, Julia was a Guest Lecturer and Lecturer at Washington University School of Medicine, where responsibilities included designing and teaching graduate-level courses on language instruction and psychosocial foundations pertinent to deafness. Julia holds two Master of Science degrees in Speech & Hearing Science, with a concentration in Deaf Education, from Washington University in St. Louis.
