Edward Francy worked as a Sr Software Engineer at CiDRA Corporation from January 2002. Edward'sresponsibilities included developing C/C++ code on various platforms, such as MIPSII, Rabbit 3000, and TI 6700 DSP for the SONARtrac flow meter. Edward also worked on command/response/configuration functions for Ethernet and serial interfaces, meter display formatting, self-test, and shared memory interface between Rabbit and DSP.
Prior to that, Edward was a Sr. Software Engineer at Lucent Technologies from February 2000 to August 2001. Edward developed an automated regression application using Rational Visual Test/Visual Basic for testing the PSAX ATM concentrator products. Edward also developed testing scripts for the regression testing application.
Edward worked as a Sr. Software Engineer at Merlot Communications from November 1998 to November 2000. Edward was responsible for developing C/C++ and pSOS code on the ARM processor for the Merlot MAGNUM ASP networked PBX. Edward also developed telephone display control, card firmware transfer, and hardware signaling using state machine techniques.
From June 1993 to November 1998, Edward served as a Software Engineering Supervisor at Executone. Edward managed a team of two engineers, assigned tasks, and wrote engineering specifications for new features. Edward developed two Nurse Call Systems, the CARE/COM II-E and the Health Care Platform (HCP).
Edward also worked as a Sr. Software Engineer at Hekimian Laboratories, Inc from November 1990 to June 1993. Edward developed the 3270 and 3270-60 analog test systems using C, PL/M, and assembly. Edward made firmware improvements to the 3270 analog testing card and developed the 3219A analog test system using C, software simulation, and emulators on a VAX.
Lastly, Edward worked as a Development Engineer at Keptel from June 1986 to October 1990. Edward developed a telephone loop verification system used for alarm systems, the 3270 and 3270-60 analog test systems (later sold to Hekimian), and a multi-line remote loopback device called SmartBlock. Edward was involved in the hardware and firmware development of these systems.
