Behrouz Nikpour

Behrouz Nikpour is a seasoned professional in digital ASIC design with over 25 years of experience in the field. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Digital ASIC Design at Ciena since March 2010, Behrouz manages a team focused on designing and verifying modems for next-generation coherent optical systems. Previous roles at Ciena include Principal Engineer and Senior ASIC Design Engineer, where responsibilities centered on DSP ASIC modem design for coherent optical systems. Prior experience includes a tenure as Senior ASIC Design Engineer at Nortel from February 1998 to March 2010. Behrouz holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Concordia University and a B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.
