Kevin Sheehan has extensive experience in the technology and telecommunications industries, currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer of the Americas and Vice President of Sales Engineering and Strategic Solution Sales at Ciena since June 2012. Previously, Kevin was the General Manager of Ciena's Agility Software division and Vice President of Product Line Management, where Kevin focused on high-bandwidth services and software solutions. Kevin held the position of President at ADVA Optical Networking following its acquisition of Hatteras Networks, where Kevin was President and CEO from 2003 to 2011. Earlier experience includes leadership roles at Alcatel-Lucent in product management and marketing, as well as positions at Packet Engines and other organizations. Kevin holds a BEME in Engineering, an MS in Technological Systems Management, and an MBA in Marketing from Stony Brook University and Dowling College.
