Stephen Dalton

Stephen Dalton, MA, CertCII, serves as the Director of Intelligence at Cifas since August 2022, where responsibilities include developing a new intelligence service. Previously, Stephen engaged in a fixed-term contract as Programme Director at Cifas to explore enhancements to the intelligence service offered to members. From November 2010 to July 2022, Stephen led the Intelligence and Investigations at the Insurance Fraud Bureau, overseeing the UK’s intelligence and investigation efforts in insurance fraud. Stephen also owned Sermos, a training and consultancy organization, and served as Director at VFM Services Limited, a leader in desktop fraud screening. Earlier experience includes roles at Thomas Cook Group, Bradford & Bingley plc, and HM Customs & Excise, with a Master's Degree in Intelligence & Security Studies from the University of Leicester.
