Asha Richards

Asha Richards has extensive experience in the legal and asset management field. Asha is currently serving as the General Counsel & Managing Director at CIFC Asset Management, a position they have held since August 2022. Prior to this, Asha worked as the Managing Director, Deputy General Counsel at CIFC Asset Management from August 2015 to August 2022. Asha also worked at CFL Holdings as the General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer from June 2012 to June 2015. Additionally, Asha held the role of General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of the Private Funds Group at Brookfield Asset Management from February 2008 to February 2012. Asha began their career as a Corporate Associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP from January 2005 to January 2008, and prior to that, they worked as an Associate at Shearman & Sterling LLP from September 2003 to December 2004.

Asha Richards has a degree in Biomedical Engineering from Yale University. Asha also obtained a JD degree in Law from Columbia Law School.
