Steven Heineman

Steven Heineman serves as the General Counsel and Senior Managing Director at Leerink Partners since May 2018. Prior roles include Senior Legal Advisor at Convergex Holdings and GTCR, where responsibilities involved managing significant litigation and regulatory liabilities following a strategic sale. Previously, Steven held positions as General Counsel, Corporate Secretary, and Executive Managing Director at Convergex, overseeing legal matters during ongoing federal fraud investigations. Steven's earlier experience includes serving as General Counsel - Americas for Societe Generale and managing litigation and regulatory affairs at the same firm. Steven began a legal career at Debevoise & Plimpton and served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of New York. Steven holds a JD from New York University School of Law and a BA in Political Science from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
