Kari Knight Stevens

Kari Knight Stevens joined The Cigna Group in 2013 and serves as the company’s EVP & Chief Human Resources Officer. In that role, she is responsible for the programs, practices, and policies that drive employee engagement and help attract, retain, and develop the pivotal talent needed for today and tomorrow. In addition to her role as CHRO, Kari serves as the Corporate Secretary and leads the company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) efforts.

Kari previously served as Chief Counsel, where she served as a legal partner and advisor to The Cigna Group’s HR leaders and team on matters relating to the company’s 70,000 employees worldwide.

Before joining The Cigna Group in 2013, Kari practiced law at Blank Rome LLP. Kari has been recognized as a “Lawyer on the Fast Track” by The Legal Intelligencer magazine and received the Forum Award for Emerging Women Leaders in Philadelphia.

Kari earned her bachelor’s in Political Science from Boston College, and her Juris Doctorate from the Temple University School of Law. She currently serves on the board of the Boston College Philadelphia Alumni Chapter.
