Michiel de Jager has a diverse work experience with various companies. Michiel started their career as a Marketing Assistant at Triakon Digital Printing in 2006. From 2008 to 2010, they worked at AlphaCredit as a Business Project Officer, where they were responsible for setting up a new project management office and coordinating the design and implementation of a new online B2C platform.
In 2010, Michiel joined Deloitte Belgium as a Senior Consultant, where they worked on projects in the financial service industry and public sector. Michiel played a key role in designing and implementing a data quality program within the second pillar of Solvency II for an international insurer. Michiel also reorganized IT service organizations for federal governance departments.
In 2015, Michiel moved to Cigna Health Benefits as a Project & Process Management Team Lead. In this role, they defined and implemented a digital roadmap, installed a project management office, and worked on new online platform projects and outsourcing initiatives. Michiel then progressed to become the Head of Project & Process Improvement for Europe, where they defined and implemented a transformation roadmap for the European region, focusing on reducing operational costs and improving customer experience through the implementation of Salesforce Service Cloud, intelligent recognition software, and machine learning. Michiel also managed a team of 10 project managers.
Michiel's career at Cigna Health Benefits continued to progress, and they became an Operations Senior Manager in February 2020. Michiel is currently serving as the Operations Director, a position they started in November 2021.
Michiel de Jager attended KU Leuven from 2002 to 2006, earning a Master's degree in Political Sciences. Michiel then attended Antwerp Management School from 2007 to 2008, completing an Advanced Master's program in Management. In 2012, they participated in the Young Management Programme at Vlerick Business School.
