Bethany Chang

Bethany Chang is the current Principal of On-Site Property Management at CIM Group. Bethany has over 15 years of experience in real estate and has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry.

Bethany started their career as a Senior Associate at Cherokee Investment Partners in 2005. There, they were responsible for underwriting and structuring real estate acquisitions and joint venture partnerships. Bethany was also Cherokee's primary contact with joint venture partners and helped develop investment strategies and monthly financial reporting processes.

In 2009, Bethany joined Madison Capital Management as a Senior Associate. There, they were responsible for sourcing and underwriting all new real estate acquisitions for Madison Capital. Bethany also evaluated direct equity investments, note acquisitions, mezzanine loan originations and tender offers for private REITs. Bethany developed, recommended and executed business plans for a diverse portfolio of real estate assets. Her responsibilities included managing third party leasing and management brokers, negotiating leases, compiling monthly and quarterly investment performance reporting and submitting construction draws.

Bethany joined CIM Group in 2019 as the Principal of On-Site Property Management. In this role, Bethany is responsible for managing all aspects of on-site property operations for CIM’s real estate portfolio. This includes overseeing a team of property managers, engineers and security personnel. Bethany also negotiates and manages vendor contracts, develops budgets and manages capital expenditure projects.

Bethany Chang received their MBA in finance from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and their AB in history from Dartmouth College.

Bethany Chang works with Jason Schreiber - Principal, Investments, Ryan Harter - Principal, Development, and Robert Dupree - Principal, Portfolio Oversight. Their manager is Avi Shemesh, Co-Founder and Principal.
