Jason Hovey, P.E. has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Jason started their career in the US Navy as a Submarine Warfare Officer and later became an Assistant Professor of Naval Science. In 2014, they transitioned to SNC-Lavalin where they held several positions including Engineering Manager and Applications Engineering Manager in the Oil & Gas industry. In 2018, they joined Cimarron as the Senior Director of Proposals and Estimation and later became the Vice President of Commercial Operations. Overall, Jason Hovey, P.E. has a strong background in engineering, project management, and leadership.

Jason Hovey, P.E. obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in the years 2002 to 2006. After that, they attended the Nuclear Power School - Naval Nuclear Power Training Command (NNPTC) from 2008 to 2009 to further specialize in Advanced Nuclear Power. In 2012 to 2014, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Global Entrepreneurship from Louisiana State University.

In terms of additional certifications, Jason Hovey holds a Professional Engineer designation obtained from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers in December 2015. Jason also obtained the Nuclear Engineer Officer certification from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in September 2011. Additionally, they hold a Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance obtained from the US Navy in December 2007.
