Jianhui Hong has experience in various engineering and technology roles in different companies. From 2020 onwards, they are the Director of Technology and Product Optimization at Cimarron Energy Inc. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Director of Engineering at Aereon from 2017 to 2020, where they led engineering teams in the development of new products and software tools. From 2014 to 2017, they were the Director of Product Development at Preferred Utilities Manufacturing Corporation, focusing on creating cutting-edge burner technologies. Before that, from 2012 to 2014, they served as the Director of Engineering at Webster Combustion Technology LLC, overseeing all engineering activities. Their earlier experience includes being the Principal Engineer at Eclipse, Inc. from 2011 to 2012 and holding various roles at John Zink Company LLC from 2000 to 2011, including Manager of the Engineering Productivity and Optimization Group, Senior Flare Process Engineer, and Advanced Development Engineer. Jianhui has numerous patents and inventions related to combustion and pollution control.

Jianhui Hong completed their education with a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University, which they pursued from 1996 to 2000. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Tsinghua University from 1991 to 1996. In addition to their formal education, they also acquired additional certifications. In April 2017, they completed the MITx Electrical Engineering and Computer Science course 6.002.1x Circuit Analysis from MITx on edX. Furthermore, in January 2013, they became a Registered Patent Agent under the US Patent and Trademark Office.
