Bram Govaerts

Bram Govaerts has a diverse background with extensive experience in various leadership and management positions. Bram currently serves as the Director General (Secretary General & CEO) of the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT), a position they have held since 2023. Prior to this, they acted as the Chief Operating Officer of CIMMYT, overseeing the organization's operations and strategy.

Govaerts has also held several other roles within CIMMYT, including Director of the Integrated Development Program, Regional Representative for Latin America, Deputy Director General of Research Sustainable Production Systems and Integrated Programs, Director of Innovative Business Strategies, and Strategy Lead for Sustainable Intensification.
