James Lyon

James Lyon is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in security, risk management, and international relations. Currently serving as the Head of Global Security at the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT), Lyon oversees security operations for 15 countries, with a focus on Africa and Asia. Previously, as a Senior Consultant with Van Woustraat Trust, Lyon contributed to various humanitarian initiatives. Lyon's notable past roles include coordinating the evacuation of Afghan staff at CIMMYT, directing the OSCE Regional Center in Gjilan, and serving as the Head of Government and Parliamentary Section at the Office of the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Academically, Lyon holds a Ph.D. in History from UCLA and multiple degrees in History and International Relations from prestigious institutions.
