Kick Geels

Kick Geels has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Kick began their career in 2006 at Syngenta, where they held various finance positions including Head of Finance services for the Panama Hub and LATAM Branches. Kick was responsible for overseeing the finance function for multiple legal entities in the region. In 2012, they also served as the Finance Lead for Shared Business Services in the Netherlands and Belgium. Kick transitioned to a role as the Director of Finance for the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT) in 2015, where they led the global finance department and supervised over 150 staff members. In 2019, they took on director positions at the International Agricultural Research Centers International Pension Plan Trust Ltd. and the Association of International Agricultural Research Centers (AIARC). Throughout their career, Geels has demonstrated expertise in finance leadership and has worked in various countries around the world.

Kick Geels has completed the Senior Executive Education program at Columbia Business School in the field of Chief Financial Officer Program. Kick holds a Master of Finance and Business Administration degree from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) with a specialization in the financial sector. Geels also has an Executive Master of Internal Audit degree from the University of Amsterdam. Additionally, they have studied Spanish Language at the Language Institute Regina Coeli and Dutch Law at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam).
