Timothy J. Krupnik serves as the Regional Director for the Sustainable Agrifood Systems Program at the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT) and as the CIMMYT Country Representative in Bangladesh. With over a decade of leadership experience, Krupnik oversees a team of 200+ research staff focused on innovations in agrifood systems to enhance food security, nutrition, and sustainability across Asia. Notably, Krupnik has led several significant projects including the Cereal Systems Initiative for South Asia and the Climate Services for Resilient Development initiative. In addition to extensive field experience and research roles, which include a PhD in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Agroecology and various consultancy positions, Krupnik facilitates CGIAR's strategic engagement in Bangladesh to align national goals with the Sustainable Development Goals.
