Matthew Vaughan

Matthew Vaughan is the Principal of Brighton MET and Haywards Heath Colleges and the adult skills lead for Chichester College Group. With over 36 years of experience in education, they have held various leadership roles, including Senior HMI with Ofsted and vice principal of multiple college groups. Throughout their career, Matthew has consistently focused on improving teaching and learner outcomes, successfully leading significant organizational changes and securing improved key judgements in inspections. They have also been a member of the Board of Trustees for CIMSPA since 2025 and continue to influence educational strategy and quality. Matthew's extensive qualifications include an MSc in Management of Public Services and a BA (Hons) in Social Sciences.
