Andy Spooner has a wealth of experience in the medical field, spanning various roles and organizations. Andy started their career as an Assistant Professor at UAB in 1995 before moving on to become the Director of General Pediatrics at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2000. In 2003, they joined Health Level Seven as the Co-Chair of the Child Health Workgroup for almost a decade. Andy then became the Chief Medical Information Officer at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center in 2007. Most recently, they are serving as a Professor at the University of Cincinnati from 2014 onwards.

Andy Spooner has an extensive education history. Andy obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis from 1992 to 1995. Prior to that, they earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center between 1984 and 1988. Andy also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Psychology from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Andy completed their high school education at North Fulton High School, where they earned a High School Diploma. Andy attended Sutton Middle School before that. Additionally, Andy has obtained certifications in the field of Pediatrics from the American Board of Pediatrics, as well as Clinical Informatics from the American Board of Preventive Medicine.
