David Cooper MD, MPH has a strong background in pediatric cardiology and acute care nephrology. David has held various leadership positions at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, including Medical Director of The Heart Institute, Cardiac Anesthesia Recovery Unit, and Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. David also served as the Co-Director of the Center for Acute Care Nephrology and the Chief Safety Officer of the Heart Institute. Prior to joining Cincinnati Children's Hospital, Dr. Cooper worked at All Children's Hospital as the Medical Director of the CVICU and the ECLS Program. Additionally, they are a professor of Pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.

David Cooper MD, MPH has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology, General from the University of South Florida College of Arts and Sciences, which they earned from 1988 to 1992. David went on to pursue a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of South Florida, completing their studies from 1992 to 1996. Following that, David obtained a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Maternal and Child Health from the University of South Florida, which they completed between 1996 and 1999. David'slatest educational endeavor is an ongoing pursuit of an Executive MBA from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business, starting in 2022.
