Michelle Adams has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Michelle currently holds the position of Vice President, Research Operations and Shared Facilities at Cincinnati Children's since December 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Director of the Office for Clinical and Translational Research at Cincinnati Children's from January 2019 to December 2023. Alongside their role at Cincinnati Children's, they also work as an Assistant Professor at the University of Cincinnati since April 2021. Michelle has previously worked as an Adjunct Faculty - Health Informatics at Northern Kentucky University from August 2018 to June 2019. Michelle also served as the Director of Research Operations at Dayton Children's Hospital from October 2017 to January 2019 and as an Assistant Professor at Wright State University from October 2017 to January 2019. Additionally, Michelle has held positions at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center as a Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist from February 2017 to October 2017 and as a Regulatory Affairs Specialist from February 2015 to February 2017. Michelle has also worked as a Senior Regulatory Coordinator at the University of Cincinnati from November 2013 to February 2015, where they were responsible for managing and maintaining regulatory compliance of clinical studies. Prior to this, Michelle served as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Clinical Research at the University of Cincinnati from August 2011 to November 2013, where they prepared and managed clinical studies focused on diabetes and lipid metabolism. Michelle also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Cincinnati from June 2006 to July 2011, where they conducted research on cholesterol transport and vascular reactivity. Before their academic career, Michelle worked as an Electrocardiogram Technician at St. Elizabeth Healthcare from August 2005 to September 2006. Michelle initially started their career as a Chinese Mandarin Cryptologic Linguist/Analyst in the US Army from 2001 to 2005, where they operated computer and electronic systems for communication reception and analysis.
Michelle Adams has a PhD in Pathobiology and Molecular Medicine from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Michelle also holds a Master's degree in Health Informatics from Northern Kentucky University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Biological Science from the same institution. In addition, Michelle has an Associate's degree in Chinese Mandarin from the Defense Language Institute.
