Emi Villavicencio

Senior Art Director at Cincinnati Magazine

Emi Villavicencio has extensive work experience in the field of graphic design. Emi began their career as a Graphic Design Co-op at LPK in 2008, where they gained experience in various aspects of the design process. Emi then worked as a Graphic Design Co-op at Chute Gerdeman in 2009, where they focused on retail space design. Emi also worked as a Graphic Design Co-op at Jack Rouse Associates in 2010, specializing in environmental graphics for museums and trade shows.

In 2011, Emi worked as a Part-Time Graphic Designer at the Cincinnati Recreation Commission, leading projects and providing guidance to junior designers. Emi also worked as a Freelance Designer during this time, handling various design projects. In 2012, Emi became a Creative Director at Venue Media and LEAD Cincinnati, managing a design team and overseeing collaborations with writers and photographers. Emi played a key role in the redesign of publications and was responsible for designing a significant portion of the magazines.

Emi later took on the role of Senior Art Director at Cincinnati Magazine in 2019, where they currently work. In this role, they utilize their expertise to lead the art direction and design of the magazine.

Throughout their career, Emi has demonstrated strong leadership skills, project management abilities, and a keen eye for design. Emi has worked on a wide range of projects, including branding, marketing materials, magazines, and signage.

Emi Villavicencio attended Northwest High School from 2002 to 2006. After completing high school, they enrolled at the University of Cincinnati from 2006 to 2011, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Graphic Design.
