Christopher Milligan has a diverse work experience in various roles within different organizations. Christopher began their career in 1991 as the Program Director at The Muse Machine, an arts education organization based in Dayton, Ohio. During their time there, they served as the lead liaison for over 100 secondary educators and was responsible for creating and managing an annual series of lectures, performance events, and workshops.
In 1997, Milligan joined Cincinnati Opera as the Marketing Director. Christopher held this position until 2010 when they were promoted to Managing Director & CMO. In this role, they played a crucial role in overseeing the organization's marketing strategies and operations. Milligan's exceptional performance and leadership skills led to him being appointed as The Harry Fath General Director & CEO in March 2020, the highest position within the company.

Christopher Milligan obtained a BA in liberal arts from Miami University from 1987 to 1991. In 2019, they also completed a Professional Certificate in Foresight from the University of Houston.
