Dean Regas is an accomplished astronomer and educator with extensive experience in public outreach and scientific communication. Currently serving as a Podcast Host for Cincinnati Public Radio since June 2017, Dean invites global experts to discuss various astronomical topics. From November 2021 to September 2023, Dean held the position of Astronomer in Residence at Grand Canyon Conservancy, offering astronomy programming in one of the nation's iconic national parks. With a long tenure at Cincinnati Observatory from 2000 to 2023, Dean has excelled as an educator, author, and expert in observational astronomy. Prior roles include Co Host, Writer, and Producer for the television program Star Gazers and Adjunct Professor at the Art Academy of Cincinnati, where a course in Observational Astronomy was taught. Dean's early career as a Naturalist with Cincinnati Park Board involved leading nature education and directing astronomy programs. Dean holds a Master's degree in Secondary Education and Teaching and a Bachelor's degree in History/Secondary Education from Xavier University.
