Sean Baker

Director of Institutional Giving at Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra

Sean Baker has been working in the corporate giving and fundraising field for over six years. Sean started their career as an executive assistant to a senior vice president at Penguin Random House. In this role, Sean was responsible for administrative support, data collection, and special event planning. Sean then transitioned to a position at the Colorado Symphony Orchestra where they oversaw corporate partnerships and grew giving revenue by 12.8%. Sean's most recent position is with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, where they are the Director of Institutional Giving. In this role, Sean is responsible for identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding relationships with corporate, foundation, and individual donors. Under Sean's leadership, the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra has seen significant growth in fundraising.

Sean Baker graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Music in Music Performance and Chicano Studies. Sean then attended the Manhattan School of Music, where they earned a Master of Music in Orchestral Performance.

Sean Baker reports to Mary McFadden Lawson, Chief Philanthropy Officer. They are on a team with Crystal St. Jacques - Institutional Giving Coordinator, Leslie Hoggatt - Director of Individual Giving & Donor Services, and Quinton Jefferson - Researchand Grants Administrator.
