Wei Liu has a diverse work experience in the field of public safety and law enforcement. Currently, they serve as the Director of the Office of Public Safety at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, where they are responsible for overseeing all physical security operations and ensuring adherence to firearms usage protocols. Before that, Wei worked as the Head of Public Safety at the Cincinnati and Hamilton County Public Library. They also co-founded and served as an Outreach Coordinator for the Historic Bella Vista Street Preservation Project, where they played a key role in securing historic designation for a collection of preserved homes. Wei has previous experience as an Investigator at Miami University and the NYC Department of Education, as well as a Lieutenant and Sergeant in the New York City Law Enforcement. They were also involved in various roles related to patrol, anti-crime, conditions, and K9 units during their time with the New York City Police Department.
