Magali Simard

Magali Simard has a diverse work experience in the film and entertainment industry. Magali is currently working as the Director of Industry & Community Relations at Cinespace Studios since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at the City of Toronto as a Program Manager in the Film Sector Development department from 2017 to 2022, where they were responsible for enhancing the global competitiveness of Toronto's screen sector through various programs and policies. From 2006 to 2017, Simard held multiple roles at the Toronto International Film Festival, including Canada Programmer, Senior Manager of Theatrical Programming, and Short Cuts Canada Programmer. Additionally, they worked as a Freelance Columnist for CBC/Radio-Canada from 2014 to 2016.

Magali Simard earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Film Studies from the University of Toronto from 2003 to 2006.
