Wadiah Atiyah is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in higher education and management. Currently serving as an Executive Officer for MENA at Cintana Education since January 2019, Wadiah is part of the founding team dedicated to expanding access to quality education. Concurrently, Wadiah holds a position as Professor of Practice at Thunderbird School of Global Management since August 2020. Previously, Wadiah served as CEO for the Middle East and Chief Academic Officer for Laureate International Universities, which encompasses a vast network of institutions globally, and worked as Dean at the American University of Sharjah. With earlier roles at Johns Hopkins University and American University, Wadiah has a strong foundation in accounting and management information systems, complemented by a Ph.D. in Education Technology and multiple degrees in business and international studies from American University.
