João Viana is a highly experienced researcher and data scientist with a strong background in health technology and services research. Currently affiliated with CINTESIS since November 2015, João has developed expertise in cleaning and analyzing real-world data. As a PhD student in clinical and health services research, João’s thesis focuses on data quality and hospital performance. João contributes to significant projects, including data wrangling for dementia caregiver support and the analysis of food intake behaviors related to diabetes. João's academic qualifications include a PhD, MSc in Medical Informatics, and various engineering degrees, complemented by experience as an invited assistant and certified trainer in health data science and informatics courses.
