Paula Abrantes

Paula Abrantes is Financial Manager within the CINTESIS Management Team, integrating the financial functional area since mid-2016. With a degree in Economics from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto (FEP), Paula Abrantes has over 25 years of experience in financial management.

She began her career as an auditor at a prestigious multinational, having subsequently held the position of Administrative and Financial Director of a group of companies in the transport and tourism sector for 10 years. Faced with the appeal of the business sector, she began her career as a businesswoman, where she provided financial and business consultancy services, acting as an intermediary between banks, individuals and companies.

After the 2010 financial crisis, she gave a new direction to her career, having embarked, in 2012, in financial management in the area of ​​Scientific Research, as project manager of Requimte – Rede de Química e Tecnologia. In this research unit, she gained important professional experience in the area of ​​financial management of R&D projects.

Currently, she attends the Doctoral Program in Economics and Business at the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain).
