Leo Marcatelli PE, SE, SECB, LEED AP is a highly experienced structural engineer with a comprehensive background in bridge design, rehabilitation, and engineering. Currently serving as a Project Engineer at Ciorba Group, Inc., since March 2021, Marcatelli has worked on significant projects including the rehabilitation of the Bob Michel Bridge and the I-270 over Mississippi River deck pour value engineering. Prior to this role, Marcatelli held positions as a Senior Structural Engineer at Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc., and Ciorba Group, Inc., contributing to various bridge designs and analyses for Illinois DOT projects. Marcatelli’s experience also includes work with Jacobs, Thornton Tomasetti, and Bowman, Barrett & Associates, focusing on bridge design, inspection, and major structural projects across various locations. Marcatelli holds a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Diploma di Laurea in Civil Engineering from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna.
