Kate Chappell

Kate Chappell has extensive work experience in various roles related to internal communications and employee engagement. Kate is currently employed at CIPD as the Head of People Experience, a position they have held since July 2023. Prior to their current role, they served as the Internal Communications Manager at CIPD starting in September 2022. Before joining CIPD, Kate worked at SSY - Simpson Spence Young as the Director of Communications and Marketing from April 2017 to September 2022. Kate also has experience working as a freelance copywriter and internal communications consultant, providing services such as content creation for HR documents, websites, and sales materials from July 2015 to April 2017. Additionally, Kate held the position of Internal Communications Manager at Vitality UK from May 2011 to June 2015, where they were responsible for employee communications, engagement strategies, and major change projects. Kate previously worked as an Internal Communications Manager at Friends Provident from August 2007 to May 2011, and as a Performance Manager at the same company from June 2000 to June 2007.

Kate Chappell completed their Post Graduate Diploma in Internal Communications Management at Kingston University from 2009 to 2010.
