Hamed Ghanei

Hamed Ghanei serves as the Chief Business Officer at Cipher Pharmaceuticals Inc. since October 2024 and is a Board Member of the Canadian Healthcare Licensing Association since June 2022. Prior to this, Hamed held various roles at PENDOPHARM and Medicago, including Lead of Branded Business Development and Senior Director of Business Development, respectively. Experience at Cipher Pharmaceuticals encompasses Associate Director of Business Development, where Hamed sourced and executed significant licensing and M&A deals, alongside extensive strategic planning. Hamed also contributed as a Manager at MaRS Innovation, focusing on technology and venture development, and earlier roles included Life Sciences Analyst and Marketing Intern at respective organizations. Hamed holds a Ph.D. in Biophysics and an MSc in Biochemistry from the University of Toronto and the University of Guelph, respectively.
